Differences Between Reptiles and Amphibians
Amphibians and reptiles are very similar but there are some differences between the two.
Amphibians:
- Smooth skin
- Webbed feet
- Their eggs are covered with some sort of gel
- They live both on land and in water
- Their larval stages are spent in the water and their adulthood is spent on land.
Reptiles:
- Skin is usually dry, hard, and scaly
- They don't have webbed feet
- Their eggs are covered with a hard protective shell
- They live on land only
- Both larval stages and adulthood are spent on land
There are more differences between the two but these are some of the key differences.
