Magazine Research- Designs

When you read a magazine you like everything nice and organized or else it gets really confusing, right? Well, when creating a magazine, you not only have to think about the content but the design as well. On this website I found, they explain some of the most common magazine layout designs.

The conventional design layout is one of the most common layouts used. The first thing the reader will see is the title which is found usually in the top left of the page.
The classic layout is the most commonly used for publications. It is very similar to the conventional design except that the title is placed more in the middle than in the top left.

Modern design first appeared around the '70s.  This layout uses more images and they began to use thicker lines to show emphasis.

The aggressive design tends to have large images and bold letters.

The juvenile design is intended for younger readers and it usually contains lots of pictures and larger font sizes.
